JLT: Interim figures
Interim figures for the first half of the year, as at 30 June 2009 (all figures in GBP).
JLT unveils figures disclosing persistent strong growth
- Turnover is up by more than 16% to 309.7 million, versus 266.2 million during the same period in 2008,
- Profit before tax is up by 24% to 54.7 million, versus 44 million last year,
- Risk and insurance activities turnover is up by 19%,
- Employee insurance and benefits: turnover is up by 1%,
- JLTRe: turnover is up by 39%,
- Interim dividend per share: 8.5p (versus 20.5p for 2007 as a whole).
Other facts:
Investment in new services is continuing, with JLTOnline, BenPal (online benefit management system) and also in the Thistle subscription services.
The JLT Aerospace team is being bolstered significantly from 20 to 85 staff over the coming months, with the forthcoming arrival of two new partners: Giles Wilkinson on 1 September and Chris G. Clark as soon as he has fulfilled his contractual obligations.
